Hey,

On this link: hondatech.info: Honda service manuals

You can download the Japanese honda EPC (all JDM honda's ar in it).

I downloaded it, and installed it (after a lot of random clicking, because I don't understand a single bit of all the characters)

It's working now, and I want to look up some part numbers for the GF-EK9, but I can't get them all... so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong...

At a certain point, you can fill in "civic 3D", and then you can choose which model. I choose GF-EK9, but then the program shows a list that needs to be filled in:

I just filled in random numbers, and then eventually I can get a view on all the parts, but I can't see the part numbers of every part...

I guess that I have to fill in correct chassis numbers or anything like that, in order to see all the part numbers ??

Can anyone help me translating that picture, or help me in finding out what it could mean ? Because the symbols in the picture are not japanese characters. Probably a wrong translation of the computer language. Can I do something to change them to japanese characters ?

It would be good if we can find this out, because then we could get all the part numbers for our EK9's :nice:

Thanks in advance!
Greets!

for a start you havent got support for japanese charachters installed. theres a lad on here who live in japan, maybe he could do help?

if you right click on the lower right hand corner on the language icon it should bring you to this

I hope the images gave you a hint

Thanks!

I did everything you showed, but it's still not working. I can't type in Japanese either, so I must have done something wrong...:(

you will be able to type Japanese if you only switch the input style in "hiragana", but if you do not understand Japanese, then you`ll get nothing. But in any case here`s how to type Japanese.

Allright, I managed to install the japanese character support, and now I can see real japanese characters in the JDM EPC.
(thanks pateras_vtec:nice:)

now, can anyone help me translating these words, so I know what to fill in ?

I have also downloaded and installed the epc. Could you let me know what random number u filled the blanks in with? Im having a difficulty with this.

I know this is a bit long down the line but i downloaded the JDM EPC yesterday and i cant get it installed. HELP PLEASE! I've got a BB6 and want some part numbers for the Type S.:angry2:

Oh, and i've got an ISObuster so the .iso file is extracted and everything but when i open the install.exe file it gives me 3tabs. The exits the installation, the other gives me a list of options(in Japanese) from A-Z and the other gives a warning prompt.

follow the directions below like i did and you`ll be alright. only difference is i mount the program on daemon tools instead of burning a cd rom.
CityTurbo.com :: View topic - Honda EPC (electronic parts catalog)
Install

1. The CD will autorun a menu. Just cancel out of that menu.
2. Go to the install folder on the CD and execute the install
3. It will ask you for an install directory by default it's C:\EPC which is fine.
4. After the install you need to go into the \EPC directory and run HMEPCSU.EXE
5. Select the S option and click on the CDROM drive letter you are using
6. Then select the U option and click OK until you have to cancel.
7. Then exit this menu and the HMEPC.EXE should start up.

---------
Running Program

1. There are 5 drop down menus at the top, select (F) or (S) and click on the first option.
2. Then select the (T) radio button and click OK
3. You will then see a full list of all the Body Types, select one and click OK
4. Then you will see a list of all the Chassis Types for that Body, select one and click OK.
5. You will then be presented with a menu with 5 fields. Only the first one matters.
6. This is the Chassis code, they usually start with 1 but you will have to experiment to see what works... after you get a good chassis code to work, the rest is a cakewalk.

Hello everyone i'm new here came across this thread when searching for Honda Japan EPC.
I know this is a really old topic but can someone point me in the right direction of installing this program.
I've burned the nrg file onto a disc using Nero burn and tried mounting it on Daemon Tools but still cant get it working, its keeps telling me 'The version of this file is not compatible with the version of computer you're running'. I'm running on Windows 7 Home Ed.

thanks

The program is prob too old to run on anything newer than XP.

If you have an old machine with XP on it I'd try that.
