hi lads . i have a J's racing carbon fibre intake (whale dick) on my ek9. i noticed today that there is a hole about the size of a 20cent coin (1pound coin) in the side of the cone head filter . can this cone filter be replaced ??normal cone filters wont be big enough to fit on to the intake will they ??

You could try Tegiwa, I reckon they should be able to supply one as theirs is a copy of the original so providing they've copied it well it should fit :) Or, fix it, I had a (smaller) hole in mine, just used some sikaflex to fill it, yours might be a bit trickier due to size but definitely not impossible!

Only other thing is to patch it up with something. But risk it being sucked in the intake.
Leaving a hole obviously isn't a great idea either as it's just going to pull in unfiltered air.
Kn might do something similar for you.

Would a generic apexi (or other) cone filter not work?

They come in various sizes, dont think the ones J's use are anything particularly special.

I'm pretty sure KN will do something, you just need the measurements for it.
As above, it's just a generic filter really.

As others members said, try Tegiwa, I think they can sort you out :)
