Just seen my old 9 on piston heads, lower mileage now!!

Yes I remember this one, was a really tidy grade 4 back in 08. Fully converted to mph when I imported it.

I think what must have happened is the old owner told him it was 70k but i can't see 97,000 km being 70,000. i thought its around 60? Maybe give him a call and ask him to explain how he got 70,000 lol

Your spot on 97km is 60m.
This is why I think imported cars should stay in km. saves a lot of hassle with knowing the correct mileage etc.
I had this before with a car I sold. The buyer put the car straight up for sale with like 10 less miles than I left it with.

Id put my house on nearly every 9 that has been imported has be knocked back at least a few km when the importers we changing them to miles.

My car was imported by Dunc.

It has a certificate confirming the mileage at Import and the conversion ratio for miles. The mileage counter has not been touched.

Same here mine was imported by dunc and I got the certificate :))

I can prob tell you what the mileage was in Japan before it was imported.

Mine also was imported by Dunc, all certified and everything. Also, in Japan if there is even the slightest suspicion that the clocks have been tampered with, it will be noted on the auction sheet.

Messaged him this was his reply

Hi Ben, it is very confusing,

When it was imported it was at around 70km, when it was converted to mph they left the clock and now the car has reached a combination of both km and miles to 97k. If you work it out it comes to around 70k miles.

Very confusing and annoying they didnt initially work it out into miles.

If you have any further questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Kind regards,

Tom

No that's not right, it was put back to the reading in miles, Duncan gave me the option and that's what I chose, paperwork showing this went with the car

Message him telling him that. If he ignores it then he's a bellend. He may just be unaware and might adjust the add.

I still have some jap paperwork that could confirm it also, think it converted to about 65000 miles
