K20 DC2 Project,

pushed on some more today, the custom rad aem fuel rail, exhaust manifold, sports cat, rad fans all turned up in teh week so i se about getting it all sorted, justin and joe were off fitting a boiler somewhere so i battled it out alone,, started with the exhaust,, cut teh cat into teh HKS silent hi power,, justin didnt want teh trouble of putting a cat in and out each mot so put it in there to stay for good, had to be a bit carefull as clearance was tight to say teh least,, see pics,,

Coming along nicely. I have read on different forums that they had trouble with clearance under the shifter cables seems to be a common problem. Is there much work to do on the wiring loom or just plug and play with conversion harnesses

pretty much plug and play with conversion harness, only 4 connections to make, all the rest simply plugs into teh existing harnesses, ,,
i need to get some heat wrap and protect all the shift cables and any rad hoses that are close to the header and exhaust before we run teh engine up :)

Yeah good idea dont want anything burning. Do you find this swap easier on the integra or civic? The engine probably sits better in the integra due to more room around the subframe than a ek civic?

certainly doesent seem short of room although tis a bit close to teh turret on teh righthand side, not much clearance on all teh pipes going to teh integra abs pump ...

Looking good Olly! Im impressed, cant wait to see this project complete!

What are you planning to do with the shifter cable box to give good exhaust clearence?? Will you be leaving it like that or adjustting the shifter box to gain exhaust space?

Looking great so far!

Do you have to use special driveshafts or change any suspension components??

tehre is plenty of room, just looks tight in teh pics,, :) we have a set of driveshafts from hasport so they will be getting bolted in in teh week!! :)
all teh suspension components are stock dc2 items,,
we have an AP brake kit up fornt, i will get you some pics of teh whole car once we roll her out of teh workshop!! :)
got all teh clutch and rad plumbed in on sunday and treh aem fuiel rail fitted,, no pics though ill take some more this week!!

Nice progress, car looks great, just wait until you drive it. there is nothing like driving a Kswapped eg, ek, or dc2. I'll never forget the first time I drove my k20 ek, 230kmh is a breeze:nice:

we made 241 bhp and 166 ft lb`s of torque in the end,

DC sports conversion header and 2.5 inch HKS silent hi power exhaust being the limiting factor.

also BDL throttle body has to go its a pice of junk and keeps binding, gonna go for a j`s racing 70mm or a spoon,

will try and get a pic of teh power run scanned in asap,,
