Welcome to the sale of my Kawasaki ZX6R 636 C1H model. i've owned this for a little over a year now and loved every minute of it. I had an older version previous to this and this feels light years ahead in every aspect. Selling due to moving up to a 1000cc. (no swaps thanks, already have a new bike in mind)

I looked at a fair few bikes before commiting to this one. I actually didn't even want a green one! I always go for condition over colour but i can honestly say i've grown to love the green, it gets looks every where it goes and still stands up with more modern bikes (partly due to the underseat exhaust i think)

The mileage is 11225 but this will rise before it's sold if there's a sunny day.
The reg is now back to DE06 HKF.
MOT'd last month at Millenium in St Helens, no advisories and the tester commented on clean the bike is.

I have serviced the bike with silkolene oil and K&N filter recently. I also changed the spark plugs for NGK and fitted a K&N lifetime air filter.
The tyres were changed about 500 miles ago for Bridgestone Battlax BT-016
Brembo pads front and rear.
The chain and sprockets were also changed (tsubaki gold)

The bike has fork protectors, frame protectors and rear bobbins (all R&G)
I have fitted smoked indicators, smoked rear light with integrated indicators, a tinted double bubble screen, stubby levers, pyramid rear hugger, seat cowl if you dont want the rear pegs on and probably a few more things which i've forgotten.
I didn't like the look of aftermarket cans on these as they stick out a bit so I had the oem one cut open, the baffles removed and then rewelded, it sounds great without looking obvious.

I have a stack of spare parts which will be included in the sale. I also have a spare fairing as there is a small hairline crack in the existing one (bought that way, thought worth mentioning), this was always covered with a sticker but i bought spare in case it ever spread, it hasn't so the other will be included in the sale. A few small age related marks as you'd expect from a bike this age but in the grand scheme of things this is a clean one ( i viewed some absolute bins!)

Plenty of old MOT's and receipts and some old tax discs and genuine kawasaki booklets.

The bike is ready to jump on and enjoy, any inspection or check is welcomed.
If you would like to know anything in particular or photos of anything please let me know and i'll get these across for you.

Message me if you would like my phone number to discuss further,

Based near Southport.

What MCN had to say about it

Overall Rating
5 out of 5
The hardest 600 of modern times just got a little softer – and a little better, too. The Kawasaki ZX-6R's track-intent is still present and correct, but thankfully the suspension is more responsive and less harsh. Its new slippery shape means that 170mph is just a following wind away. Also new for 2005 is a slipper clutch and petal discs.

Ride Quality & Brakes
4 out of 5
The most appreciable difference between this and the Kawasaki ZX-6R it replaced is the quality of the ride. The swap from Kayaba to Showa means a plusher, more sophisticated suspension that, mated to a new, stiffer chassis, makes the 2005/2006 ZX-6R so much easier to push hard. There’s a new radial master cylinder for improved braking up front and new ‘petal’ discs for the all-new Tokico radial brakes to bite on, too. It all works flawlessly.

Engine
5 out of 5
Good Lord, the Kawasaki ZX-6R's DOHC, 16v motor is so close to being perfect. The exquisite fuelling, the easy mid-range, the searing power, the screaming airbox….incredible. It makes a genuine 115bhp at the back wheel, which easily makes it the most powerful middleweight motor of its time.

Build Quality & Reliability
5 out of 5
The Kawasaki ZX-6R is well finished and well built. There’s nothing that stands out as worth y of attention, but it’s worth checking any secondhand bike carefully for damaged lock stops, chipped wheels, under-fairing damage etc.

Insurance, running costs & value
5 out of 5
The only thing that counts against the 2005/2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R is its newness. Dealers tend to ask silly prices and a brand spanking new 600 isn’t that much of a leap away from that kind of money. Find a Kawasaki ZX-6R for sale.

Insurance group: 15 of 17 – compare motorcycle insurance quotes now.

Equipment
5 out of 5
You couldn’t add more toys to the Kawasaki ZX-6R if you tried. There’s a slipper clutch to smooth out hurried downshifts, a lap timer, an underseat exhaust with a mid-range boosting exhaust valve.
