Rite guys im currently on my 11th civic so its about time I did a build up thread..
After selling my old coupe (1.6sr) I decided I needed the B power back in my life.. in fact I loved the coupes so much I ended up buying another one
Here's a few pics of my old car
Before (how I got it)

After (how it looked when I sold it)

I was sad to see it go.. but had to make room for bigger and better things... I got me a clover green em1 with low miles and box standard... I didnt waste any time in getting to work on it ... first thing was first I gave it a good clean including polish, wax etc ... treated it to a good old service including new brake discs and pads all around at the same time I thort it would be a good idea to freshen up the calipers with a lick of paint and did the headlights (DIY EK9 styleee)
So here's how it looked

Next on the list was to get some jap plates and black the rear windows..

The car was crying out to be lowered... so some spax 60mm springs came along for the time being.. looked better than the stock ride height (not happy about the rears tho :()

I decided that I was going to go for a black on green theme... so the wheels got some tlc

I was looking into getting an intake system now and after some research I decided I would stick with the OEM airbox and im glad i did... I removed the resonators... extended the intake pipe (diy job) and added a KnN panel filter

I noticed improved throttle responce instantly and the vtec crossover sounds much better!
The most recent additions are a pre-facelift rear lip and VHT wrinckle paint on the rocker cover..

Very nice cars mate :nice: Both pre-facelift and facelift look great...

Really like the colour, how did you go about making the headlights black? Did you just spary the inner casing?

Mugen spoiler = :D

K Hatche3: We don't have the Si model coupe in the UK and Ireland...

I found these pics on the net, can't remember what site though... Is it yours?

Just noticed the reg numbers are the same...

Nice pics though :D

Yeh thats my car bud... it was advertised on pistonheads not long ago but i realised I was making a mistake and if I sold it id regret it.. so decided to keep it..
The headlights are something I always do when I buy an ek/em etc... adds a nice touch imo...
1- Remove Headlights
2- Remove casing from headlights/ use a heat gun to heat up the glue... pull apart very carefully
3- should be 3/4 screws holding the chrome plastic to the headlights undo those and remove the chrome surround... This is the bit your going to be spraying
4- use wet and dry to etch the surface... I did it so that there was no chrome left
5- Clean surface.. i just used warm water and fairy and rinsed with warm water...
6- once dry your ready to prime it... i used about 3 coats of plastic primer (grey) from halfraud
7- once you have primered and its dry then your ready to paint... best to leave over night for the primer to dry... but im going to be honest i waited a couple of hours before I painted
8- I used halfrauds satin black paint approx 3 coats... leave to dry
9- once dried... your ready to put everything back together.. reverse order
10- when putting the plastic casing back on... just heat up the glue or silicone what ever that stuff is.. and you would agree its very messy stuff
11- install headlights and admire your work!

sorry its not the best of instructions but it gives you an idea... there where a how to some where

Thanks for all the comments guy
I've just sprayed front and rear splitters black... and im happy with the outcome.. will get pics up soon :)

***UPDATE***
Mugen lip added also added a short shifter
sorry about the picture quality again!! :D
