Rite guys im currently on my 11th civic so its about time I did a build up thread..
After selling my old coupe (1.6sr) I decided I needed the B power back in my life.. in fact I loved the coupes so much I ended up buying another one
Here's a few pics of my old car
Before (how I got it)
After (how it looked when I sold it)
I was sad to see it go.. but had to make room for bigger and better things... I got me a clover green em1 with low miles and box standard... I didnt waste any time in getting to work on it ... first thing was first I gave it a good clean including polish, wax etc ... treated it to a good old service including new brake discs and pads all around at the same time I thort it would be a good idea to freshen up the calipers with a lick of paint and did the headlights (DIY EK9 styleee)
So here's how it looked
Next on the list was to get some jap plates and black the rear windows..
Before
After
The car was crying out to be lowered... so some spax 60mm springs came along for the time being.. looked better than the stock ride height (not happy about the rears tho )
I decided that I was going to go for a black on green theme... so the wheels got some tlc
Before
After
So I got off to a fairly decent start and the car was looking like this for a while
I was looking into getting an intake system now and after some research I decided I would stick with the OEM airbox and im glad i did... I removed the resonators... extended the intake pipe (diy job) and added a KnN panel filter
Before
After
I noticed improved throttle responce instantly and the vtec crossover sounds much better!
The most recent additions are a pre-facelift rear lip and VHT wrinckle paint on the rocker cover..
This is how the car is looking at the moment
on the to do list
- Spray front and rear lips black (possibly change front for a mugen or typre R style lip)
- Coilovers (eventually)
- Mugen Style Rear spoiler
- Wind deflectors
- Eggsauce system (maybe)
Its not the best of builds compared to others on here also excuse some of the pictures (mobile phone job)
