Hi all!

I am a newbie on here and dont seem to be getting any help from anyone on the itr-dc2 forum regarding which cams to go for! :((

Im currently building a DC2 for track use and maybe a drive at the weekend and speaking to specialists in the U.S. they are pointing me in the direction of the Killer Vtec cams.

Has anyone used them and what sort of gains did you get please?

You never see them for sale in the UK but have just seen these on Ebay so wondered about having a cheeky bid: Killer Vtec Crane Cams 253-0014 Honda Integra,Civic, Prelude B16, B18 & H22 | eBay

Bear in mind that my engine will have a B20 bottom end with a B16 head using race valves, double springs and pocketed pistons on Jenvey throttle bodies with Omex management.

Thanks! :):)

Any particular reason you want to remove VTEC?

Not entirely sure how you are putting a B series head on an H series block, I'm almost certain the bore spacing is different.

What the hell is an H20 anyway? Do you mean F20?

Think he means b20. Killer cams are probably a bit OTT

Doesn't mention any high comp equipment, I'd stick a type r cam in there.

Sorry misprint! Its a B20 block.

My boss built one a few years ago in a race car and it was ace!

Achieved over 260bhp NA.

The B16 head will take a big valve which he used.

This build was unbreakable as the CRV 2.0 block was very strong!

Lol nothing is unbreakable mate plenty of built b20's have **** themselves a quick google will show.. Had a b20 high comp cp pistons/eagle rods etc and just sold it on and built my b18c high comp but they are good

Listed as b series and h series, i'm sure they are different.

I don't think u would enjoy the car on the rd if u fitted them cams go for toda spec c cams instead, u will get brilliant gains and still b able to enjoy it on the rds

I wouldn't touch them if the cars to be used on the road, you'll get much better use-ability retaining a traditional vtec setup with a high and low cam profile.

It's gonna be pretty gutless on the road with those cams, suited for a full out track car only.

With the throttle bodies setup these will be amazing on track. I know they probably arent the best on the road but it should be great otherwise.

Youtube it.
Pretty much locks the vtec from idle
sounds cool doe

the kit completely removes the vtec system. middle rocker arm is replaced with a billet spacer and the solenoid is removed and plugged.

they are very tricky to use and as people have said are exclusively a racing camshaft.

the engine needs to be properly designed from inlet to exhaust to make the most of them and these builds tend to get very expensive, very quickly

I think you will be disappointed if you set out to use vtec killers in the average B20 build. Whats the whole spec of the engine you are planning

When it makes sense to remove the vtec? I know that in many competitions take it off, but you have to have that specific engine?
