knocking noise

Hey guys, I've just got back from the shops and as i was going over some speed humps, my ek is making some knocking noises, it only sounds when the shocks compress and decom, is it a bearing ( think they squeek ) or a bush in one of the arms? or something totally different, anyone had this? i don't drive the car much but i've just sold my bike and today was the first time i'd been in it for about 2 weeks and my girl said
"oh yeah i heard that about a week ago" AHHHHHHHHHH
