Lazybean's EK Hatch - Saving a Civic :)

I bought the Miracle Brace back in Feb, fitted it, then took it off and now fitted back again haha! Picking up the shell on the 11th if all goes to plan! so look out for an update ;) Yeah that's actually pretty smart! though black in my opinion looks cleaner (even though these things can get your hands manky haha) since I'll be respraying the 9 in black! but it's a good shout about looking out for leaks though!

Yeah I'm gonna have to look out for one of those in the near future. Why did you take it off? I'm all over it dude, I'm sure ill see it on Instagram first anyway!

Yeah I can definitely see why you would go for black. Lets be fair, nobody should ever see your underseal anyway!

Managed to make some progress last weekend, got a few goodies delivered.

Well I have been really slack lately on the updates, there have been a few bits up on instagram but nothing substantial.

Well going straight into it.

Before Christmas me and pops managed to clear out the garage so I can have the civic in there over winter, took all day but probably the most useful thing I have done so far :)

Back to the car, I bought a FEEL'S rail from Sam (K's Circuit). Totally sound bloke to deal with. Managed to get that bolted up with some stainless bolts from work. I dont have any good photos of the seat fitted yet because of lack of space in the garage, but it went in well, without any fuss. The FEEL'S rail sits at a really nice hight as well!

got back to working on the civic and ( I dont have any pics) we got the front brakes on and brake lines in, Spent a day refurbing my rear calipers and then when I went to fit them the bolt pattern was wrong :( turns out I have MB6 rears which were slightly wrong. So ordered some EK9 rears instead and they arrived today. So ill leave this update with some pictures of the rear calipers and how the cars sits as of now.

The wrong rebuilt calipers! which I need to sell if anyone is interested?

didn't see your reply haha! Took it off because I had to move a few things about so couldn't be arsed fitting it back on. It's still off but will put it back on for a track day :) Haha suppose you're right :)

anyway your mate's teg looks amazing! and unlucky about the rear calipers, surely they'll shift easily :) wish I had that much garage space man! looking good though! keep it up

You need to get it fitted again, I thought it looked sick in those pictures. Yeah I need to get round to sorting these new ones out and documenting it properly this time. The garage space is good but my pops is hustling me to get on with the build. Gotta be finished by japfest!

Nice updates mate, hope you're well!

Cheers man, always good lol! you gonna be down for japfest?

going to be a real good car when finished keep up the good work.

thanks dude, just gotta get it finished :p

Coming along nicely man, loving the pics of my teg :D

Heard some crazy stories about your driving lately!!

Cant believe I haven't added an update since christmas!

The rear calipers are now refurbed and fitted along with a new rear bumper.

and with the interior fitted back in.

So been having some issues with bleeding this setup, Thought it was the master cylinder at first so I went ahead and bought a 1" from a prelude (got for 15 quid compared to the stupid price of integra cylinders).

But they sent me a Toyota Supra cylinder lol

20130421_223827.jpg

anyway got the proper one eventually and it fit no problem.

20130425_163720.jpg

Then me and a mate spent some time CNC machining up a spacer for the Honda S2000 clutch master cylinder. They charge 30 quid for these on Tegiwa.

Started out with a fag packet sketch

20130423_085446.jpg

Then sent it off to the CAD boys at work.

Then onto the machine.
