limit 180km/hod


you need a different ecu like a chipped p28 or power FC or aemems etc...

in my car they put a Km/h - Mph chip in that means the ecu would limit at 180mph if it could actually get there as apposed to 180kmh
 
you can buy a delimiter or converter off ebay mate,also converts your car's speedo to read in mph.
 
You can buy a aftermarket ecu, or a HKS SLD (SPEED LIMIT DEFENSER) I bought one in www.takakaira.com from japan, but I think you can find it in ebay also.
 
I had same problem in my engine so i had a HKS SLD, worked perfectly.
 
u dont need a ecu change

all you need is a convertor/delimiter it should be wired into your gearbox speed sensor if im thinking right, it will convert your clocks to read in miles and MPH and also delimit the cars top end.

that vids quite interesting to me as mine does the same....so im guessing my speed limiter has been removed while it was over in japan??
anyone know where the limiter should stop it?? is it 180kmph (112mph)

Mine was about 210-215 km/h with the stock ECU :nice:
 
but i assume thats delimited manos?
as all jap cars are limited to 180kmph (112mph) arent they??

What I understood is that Jap cars may have this gauge of 180 km/h max speed because of Japan's local regulations but I have never seen a single one hitting the limiter exactly at 180 km/h. Is it a coincidence the fact that I've seen tenths of EK4s and EK9s here that came directly from Japan and all were more-or-less the same with mine(210-215 km/h)?
 
My imported Prelude also maxed out at 124mph / 200kph.

It is only a rough judgement when they say 180kph.
