hello i was wondering how i can take the limiter off but it not set at 112mph it cuts out at 130mph
any now no how to remove it

It wont be a limiter if its cuts out at 130mph. Factory limiter is 112mph. What do you mean "cuts out"? Sure it has'nt had new final drive fitted?
 
You probably just ran out of gears

where the hell you smashing 130mph out anyway?
 
it gets to 130mph and feels kinda like a file cut defence has kicked in for a split second then its ok again
and 130 on track mate
 
Must be a long straight! So what is it like a fuel cut? Or running out of revs??
 
130mph is about what 210km?? dunno what your guys odometers read in mph or kmh but thats sounds almost right, maybe a bit lower -(not sure on the ek9s..) reason i say this is cos ive nailed my vti before, took it off the clock(past 220kmh mark) however i dont know the true speed i was going cos i didnt have gps at the time..

if its a 9, and im right in saying that 130mph is 210kmh, then i presume the needle isnt going 'off the clock' ? you will probably find that you have a different Gbox ratio than a stock setup.. also the way you describe that 'cut defense' - sounds like the stock limiter to me as well.

see if you cant contact the owner before you and ask him a Q or two. also if you can find the advert you saw and bought the car with read it through again maybe you will find your answer there.
 
Simple way to tell, what revs are you doing at 130? If its 8 or over you probably have a different final drive etc.

lol shoulda thought of that. no knowledge with final drives etc yet so yea. my bad.

My SiR EK4 does exactly the same, it revs to about 7k ish in 5th which equates to roughly around 130mph (on a private stretch) I've worked out, Just presumed since it went by 112mph that was it, but no, it's still limited. Haven't looked into anything yet though, oh and my dads JDM DC2 was the same also.
 
my coupe does that too, limiter kicks in at 130mph at around 7k revs. still 2k revs left. feels like it just goes dead for a sec them kicks in again and repeats again. thought it was just the speedo was inaccurate.
