Lower control arms


on the ek4 control arms the shock has a fork an wraps around to either side of the control arm...in the ek9 the shock has a bushin in the bottom of it an fits into the middle of the control arm!!
 
ok cheers in that case where can i get ones for a ek9 lol (in purple :(...)
 
iv done a few sets of shocks on an ek9 and they are the same as mine on my ek4 straight swap. but that was on the 2000 ek9 96-98 mite be diff tho

I have a 99-00 EK9 so these are the same shocks as a EK4? yes and if the 96-98 is different to the 99-00 why is everything advertised 96-00 EK ?
 
the shocks are the same for the 96 to 97 ek as are they the same in the 98 to 00 ek only dif runnin gear or body wise is the front bumper wings an bonnet...runnin gear is all the same!
 
Can anyone show me pics of a LCA for a EK4 and one for a EK9 then as everything i find is advertised to fit both
 
There the exact same. D2 ones are purple. I have them in my car...
 
its the D2 ones im after, they say 96-00 EK so they will fit straight on the Ek9? Thanks

im sorry sir but your are wrong, i believe you are thinking of the ITR control arm. the ctr control arm is the same as the ek4 and us market ej control arms. there are NO ek shocks with bushings in them, thats the 98+ ITR shocks your thinking of.

remember jdm ek4 has different rear arms from uk spec (uk spec vti is not an ek4,ek4 is the jap model sir !!!!) uk vti are as the guy has previously said indeed different from ek9 rear arms,if they are from an ek4 which is the jap version yes they fit,but ukdm vti no they don't fit they are as the guy says totally different.
 
I have the D2 LCA's, they are veery nice, but have you looked into the LCA's from function 7? Baller.
 
yes ive looked at the function 7 ones but i want the D2 ones lol

So Corral where can i purchase EK9 aftermarket parts then as eveything is advertised for EK ?
 
dunno tbh:( its hard getting the right parts for the right price over here,but off topic,i saw a cusco 24mm rear anti roll bar for 100 buck on ebay brand spanking,if your looking to uprate your handling this would be a good mod,seller says it cost £130 odd but he's selling for £100...:nice:i'd have it myself but no cash:(
i would think the thicker rear roll bar is better mod for the money..
rvm done a right up on this roll bar just the other day.
 
it was my understanding that all civic hatchbacks ek4/ek9/em1/ej6 etc... had the same rear lca and until a see a picture to prove me otherwise im gonna keep on believeing it.
