say now i buy some lowering springs, am i right in thinking to fit them..

I remove standard shocks,
take top hat off shocks,
clamp close new springs and then put onto shocks,
fasten top hat,
replace on car?

Cheers im quite clueless hah!

ps links to budget springs would be great, only after looks not performance :) thanks

I take when you say looks you mean stance? Depends how low you want to go?

If you are clueless on fitting the springs maybe you should pay a trusted garage/mechanic to do it for you. Not the best thing to go about when you have no idea on what you are doing

Yes stance lol, 40-50 mil would be ideal, im doing mechanics at college, slowly but surely making progress lol, ive only done standard suspension, thats why i asked would it be just as simple a case of swapping the springs :)

You want to clamp the springs on the damper before you remove the top hat, could get messy if you dont!

yer, i meant to say that lol
any other tips? ive only done susp on a corsa b (college car)

You've pretty much covered it, just take care undoing the rear LCA bolts!

I'm using some skunk2 lowering springs going them brand new for $180CAD

They're pretty nice, check those out
