What is its difference to other typical products of scratch removal? I think that cloudiness is due to the fade of the varnish that the lights have. I am saying this, as usually the solution of polishing the lights with similar products has temporary results and the fade comes back after some time. So I am wondering if this product is offering anything different or special

The kit uses Plastic-X, a product designed for plastics only. Where other products that you might use are more for paints. This will always be a "safer" way of doing your lights plus it has its one buffing wheel in the kit doing away with the need for a buff.

I would reconmend you use a wax after this kit for the best long lasting results. Something like Meguirs number 26 Yellow wax.
