Mirrors not folding?

Hi my mirrors all of a sudden stopped working and all they do is click when I press the switch, any ideas?

Are they trying to move at all? One of mine jerks but won't fold like there's a knackered cog.

Spray the mirror joint with wd40, that should free them up. Certainly worked with my wing mirrors...

Well I sprayed mine 2 years ago and have not had any issues since. From my experience nothing beats wd40 when it comes freeing up things that are already stuck, but indeed silicone spray will resist water better than wd40.

my only gripe with wd40 as its sore on anything made with rubber and will cause it to crack over time.

White grease!! I do mine every month and they work better then new lol, absolutely no effort what so ever lol.

I have a set if you need them I can check they still work as the should ect pm me if intrested.

do you open up the mirror and grease the cogs or just spray in from the joint?

i always just spay in wd40 from the joint and works a treat .. white grease would prob be better though
