well as i was driving down the motorway the engine devloped a miss fire on number 1 i tested the spark found spark at plug then swapd over a injector still no joys.

then got a compression tester and found no compression on number 1 the oil has no coolant in and no oil in the coolant and no heavy breathing so i dint think it was rings any1 think it may be a valve ?

If theres no compression then somethings fuked. When you say "no compression" do you mean non at all or some ? You need to do a leakdown on it really to see what the problem is. Do you have oem or aftermarket valves ?

its got all OEM valves cams retainers noting in the engine is after market and when i say no compression i mean noting at all on number 1 cylinder

I'd start off by taking the rocker cover off and inspecting all the valve springs to see if you can see anything there. Try rotating the engine a few times whilst keeping a eye on them. Your most likely going to need to pull the head off though and inspect the pistons so just bare that in mind. The compressions escaping somewhere.... Strange....

It could be a valve stuck open.....

As Rich said you need to get the head off the engine for a look cos if theres no compression at all, it could be a very serious problem.

Is there any oil in your exhaust fumes? cos this could rule out piston compression failure.

well i had rocker cover off to check out the valve springs when i did compression test and they was all there and not snapped pickd up a spare head today which i was goin to build up anyway for my build but if theres a fukd valve ill just swap it all over.

and i would of thorght it would heavy breath if the rings went on the pistions as it would put the compression into the block would it not

You will have excessive crank case pressure if its ring or piston related if thats what you mean. Pull the exhaust and inlet manifold off and have a feel around the valves for anything not normal. After that your only option is to take the head off.

Leakdown test will give a good indication before you take the head off. Aswell check your valve clearence , a stuck open valve will show up here too.

well i found and fixed the problem

Well there is your problem! lol

Was that an OEM valve?

lol you think it is best thing is the piston face was undamaged lol

and yes was a standerd OEM valve from new

good to hear your piston is/are ok. check the cylinder walls also, if not already.

oh all checked and everything was fine looks like it must of snaped and was kicked stright out of the engine quite lucky i would say all back running now

Fuk me, i'v never seen a oem valve (or valve) do that on a near enough stock engine ! I think you should ring Honda Japan and put a complaint in :nono:.

Look in your catalytic converter for the missing valve part...lol

Then go out and buy a lottery ticket!

nar it will be in sum1 ones bumper on the motor way as i have a decat pipe lol

and yeh i know ive only seen them drop a vavle and make a total mess of the piston face and head so dam lucky lol
