MPG - What do you guys average?

Hi Guys,

I've searched the forum for topics on MPG. Couldnt find anything.

Just wondering, if your not driving her hard, what sort of MPG do you guys average? And, when you do let loose, again what sort of returns do you get?

That thread is for a Turbo version.

I know it says that there isn't much difference, but I'm sure there must be some.

Beside, everyone drives differently, so fuel consumption will be varied.

What is your main driving style dude?
 
i get anywhere between 200 and 270 miles to a tank. thats a mix of ragging the tits out of it...gentle 15 mile drive to work... and some motorway driving.
 
yeh but also asked what do they get normal.

my 1.4 mg only got 180miles!!

if my ek9 gets 200-270 miles, then thats great!!!!!!
 
I usually get around 27-29 City with about 32-34 Highway on a good day (B16A2 swap in an EJ6).
 
I get about 120 miles to £20 v power (around 18.5 litres)

i think i average around 23-25 mpg around town

about 250-270 miles on a long motorway run to a tank full of v power @ 70 mph lol

I used £30 of V-power in less than 100 miles last weekend, so much fun:D

But yeah, drive it steady and you'll get MPG like any other 1600cc NA car, 30+ I would imagine.
 
My old modded 9 with the spoon ecu managed 37mpg:shocked: that was a very slow 60mph from Reading to Plymouth 200mls on a bank holiday Friday.

:win:There isnt many 200bhp 1.6 cars on the planet that will do that:win:

when i was NA i got about 24mpg driving kinda stupid, we did a thread like this a long time ago and the average was 24-25mpg.

LOL i never said i was hoofing it ,id get around 120 miles out of £30 if i was vtec 'ing it everywhere,but driving it slow to and from work and around town i get around 120 miles to £20 of v power easy :nice:
 
full tank of Premium in Tennessee right now is about $27-28 for me (around 8.75-9.25 gallons). I get usually around 260-270 miles on that which in turn usually averages around 29 MPG, mostly city driving. At least it's better than my mom's PT Cruiser that only gets 20-22 MPG and my dad's Tacoma that gets around 25-26 MPG.

180 miles to a tank from a 1398cc engine???

You must be driving around with the windows down on flat tires with 4 other people in the car, that or your ragging the tits out of it, my mates got a 54 plate MG and he gets well over 280 miles to a tank, your having a giraffe mate
 
i **** you not danny, i always thought there was something wrong with it to be honest, i just knew it wasnt right, but yeh thats what i got.

I used to always reset my mileage thing when i put 20 in to see what i would get, in the winter usually 170, in summer maybe 200.

dont care now the cars gone.

No reason to lie about it.

EDIT - forgot to say, its not a full tank, it was only 20, maybe you though i had a full tank. so yeh 180 miles is about right.

Ahhh right i see jesus i thought you meant you got 180 to a tank lol!

My old C2 GT used to get about 300 to a tank and that was a 1600cc wasnt 2 bad actualy!

About what I thought then.

Around high 20's around town and low 30's for a mixture of M'way and city.

Thats more than good enough for me, been driving a fiat coupe (dont laugh) and I wasn't getting near that.

I'll explain all of this to the mrs, and thus when I buy my ek, she'l realise it's not just a toy, it's a money saving device :wow:
