hello all.

originally started looking for an ek9 in august and after a lengthy wait i finally got it in dec 2006!

some auction pics.

didnt like the 15" buddy club rims on it, so managed to bag myself a new set of 16" buddy club rims with toyo rubber while i was waiting on the car arriving from japan.

i swopped the grey rims for a spoon 4-2 manifold with the importer

then realised i have no wheels to pick the car up with as i was flying to london to get it lol, so bought these off of ebay.

mmmmm nice.

also ordered some other bits, a new gearknob as it had an aftermarket one fitted, a better steering wheel as the sun had damaged the original, and some servicing bits, sent the wheel and gearknob off to the importer to be fitted

after i picked her up

then started some mods

the car has the following spec now, came from japan standard.

de restricted airbox
spoon panel filter
spoon 4-2 manifold
spoon 2-1 downpipe
decat pipe
spoon b pipe
spoon n1 box
ngk ht leads
denso iridium plugs
hid's
buddy club p1 16s with toyo rubber
a domo kun, usually in the back seat

at my last rolling road dyna i went it made 208bhp, but have since discovered it has a dc2 ecu in it, beginning to think its been stroked...

it was around 136 lb/ft of torque.

i'm hoping for alot better figures in the coming months, got a few plans

either its stroked or you have cams. no way a stock ek9 with bolt ons will create 136wtq, wait was it measured at the wheels? either way thats great

maybe it came from japan with the spoon stroker kit!

they cost me £650 with the toyo tyres, no idea what that is in $.

its at the fly its still good though.

the engine will have the head off soon so will have a nosey at the pistons then

oh, ok, so that roughly translates to 115wtq and 176whp, judging by the tq numbers its not stroked imo, but your hp numbers are still high so thats a + im guessing you just have a healthy motor and those mods added up.

thing is, it made 205hp @ fly before the mods, well, the spoon 4-2, still doesnt explain the dc2 ecu its running!

nice ek9 mate ,those buddy club wheels the car had on first bronze/grey 15'' buddyclubs go for £1000 buy it now on e-bay ,looks nice with white ones on now, your ek9 is running awesome power and torque,and the dc2 ecu suggests your car is running a 1800cc spoon stroker kit mate ,my mate recently run 195 bhp 120flb of torque and my ek9 ran 197 bhp @8678 rpm and 122flb of torque @7656 rpm ,mine has similar mods to yours
