ok; lets get it started; this is my original ride EK2; spotted this baby on sale on the net n visited the fella b4 purchasing it from him; he stays 5 hours drive away from me

so tis it how it look like

and the first thing i did after i got my ride by to my place; was to install a good security alarm
WHY? becos b4 i got this ek; i used to own a Proton Satria GTI DOHC 1.8; BUT it got stolen from me after owning it for a week; so kinda phobia my ride might go missing again.


after getting my alarm done; i went to change my tires to Goodyear Eagle F1 195/55/15
cos the previous owner had 4 different types of tires on my ride LOL


n so.. here's the process of getting my new rubbers

now having done my alarm & tires.. i found that the b16a is quite a fairly powerful engine for the small brake system of mine; so i decided to upgrade it to ek9 brakes & rims instead.

my mech had a used brake hose which he wasnt using; n sold it to me

nxt stop; converting my stock center console n ek2 stock auto transmission cluster to ek9

now lets go to the exhaust system
previous owner had the OEM b16a extractor & he kinda custom his muffler as well.. forgot to take pic; but it was kinda weird setting. from 2" to the connect b4 the muffler was shrink to roughly 1.7"
so here's my piping & muffler n etc upgrades

stock extractor; man this alone weights heavier den my 421 single piece extractor which i was going to change

upgrade to Jasme 421 extractor + JDM ITR piping + RSR Muffler
oh btw; forgot to take pics during when i swap my OEM suspension to tanabe sustec pro

some mileage comparison b4 n after i upgrade.

b4 = one full tank i can roughly go up to... 400++ km (one full tank of fuel)
after = one full tank i can go up to... 500++km (on full tank of fuel)

to my surprise; i actually got better mileage

Triniti Racing Clutch

OEM flywheel(7.8kg) to custom fly wheel(5.3kg)

Radiator upgrade to Fully Aluminium Radiator.

rear beam; rear strut bar n rear arb subframe upgrade.

stock ek2 didnt had the bar; to reduce the flex; got it installed.


cusco rear strut bar; had to cut a hole there. gave me a heartache;
quite untidy job; had it clean up; but i didnt snap some pic sorry.



n finally the subframe upgrade; one which i fear my rear ARB might rip a hole or tear it apart. spent some money to get tis imported from US.

had some bad luck with some other vehicles; bump into my front n rear bumper;
kinda went out of place abit; n i decided to put them back in place. thank god its not a minor issue.

one big mistake i made was that i didnt dyno run my car to see how much WHP is produce b4 doing all this mod.

here's my stock ECU; had rev n speed cut; had it rechipped with FEELS racing chip to remove both speed n rev cut & got it tuned by E Manage Blue.
