Seen lots of custom rocker covers latly and it really inspired me to try something of my own.

Probably not to everyones taste but im pretty happy with how it came out. I'm no artist.

Yep unfortunatly im not good enough with a brush to paint that although i did try, I drew it in photoshop from two other images I had seen and a friend printed it up for me.
You dont really notice its a sticker untill you look closer.
 
its more noticable in the first pic that its a sticker. its certainly different anyways, why did you choose an angel??

I' don't really know what it is I've just always had a thing about wings in artwork because there so many different ways they can be drawn, I wings also make me think of freedom and the ability to achieve the impossible (in this case fly) and the angel is a pure spirit but with a human aspect to it so that's my kind of philosophical side to it. I've sort of become known for it with my friend's so its putting my mark on it. :)

Thanks man. I saw a few people taking a look but didn't really catch much of what people thought as i tried to get around as much as possible, I'm glad it turned some heads though. Hope I don't get to much hate for wimping out and using a sticker :p

interesting way of putting it but i like your way of thinkin!!:nice::nice: the reason i asked is that i have a tattoo of one so was just wondering why would you put it on your car.

Looks cool to me...so what u cant paint a sticker is quite fine. If thats ur style go with it. Think its cool imo!!!
 
Did one myself a while ago using a sticker and it worked well as I'm no airbrusher, put plenty of laquer on it to seal it, but unfortunately over time it will start to peel off. Still looks good though and I'm sure it will last a while and can be easily redone in the future. Good work tho.

@DOSvtec: Would love to have a tattoo but havn't got the ball's :p would get my in to much trouble with my mrs :p plus i can change my mind if its on the car.

I have 3 more copies of the sticker anyway so should it eventually peel off I can take it off refurb the paint and cut a new sticker to fit.

I sat and painted that letters with a brush so that's good enough for me :D

Can't comment to much on exactly what it is because my friend made it up for me but its a weatherproof decal which is PVC baised, I was a bit weary at first to a ran a test piece stuck on the head right next to the exhaust manifold (to simulate the worst case) for about a month and nothing bad happened. So i'm pretty confident it will be ok I have seen other just use normal stickers on the plug cover before now so that bit is definatly ok.
 
Great work. Especially in the car scene originality is becoming a rarer sight as many people are acquiring the same parts, and it's nice to see that you're trying to give your car a unique touch. It's a nice way to stand out a little. Thumbs up.

well if angels are your thing i would go for a tatt and sure once its on there not much the mrs can do:naughty::))
