UPDATE!!!!

My car runs better with the mugen exhaust!!!

The last time I went to the 1/8 mile track I did a time of 10.20s (with comptech race exhaust and no a/c).

Today I went to the track and the car did a time of 10.00 (with mugen complete exhaust and a/c).

hmmm... i wonder y it was better?!?! i mean the mugen is great.... but the comptech is so much closer to the header..... back pressure maybe?!?!

Very weird mate, also I added back the a/c thats like 30 + more pounds, + 65 - 75 pounds of the complete exhaust. Comptech exhaust was 7 pounds

Imagine I added like 100 pounds of weight and my car is faster lol

If the comptech exhaust was 3'', then I think it was too big for your motor. The mugen exhuast with a diameter of 2.3" (to the best of my knowledge) is much better suited to your b16b as it sits now. There could also have been differces in climate and your driving consistency. Good news anyway!

Yep, I might sell the exhaust after testing it in the dyno!

I had a 5Zigen straight flow for a while (great sound, too bad I forgot to record a video before taking it out ). Now Im using the stock one again and the car is actually significantly more powerful before VTEC kicks in, and only slightly slower after VTEC.

Formula of big = powerful definately doesnt work for precision NA engines.


Enough talk, videos of your Mugen twin loop exhaust or it never happened.
