My EK9 - Spoon Type One

Not posted in this for a couple of months, gave the 9' a clean and polish with autoglym and went to take a few pics.

I'm going to do a bit of a service within next couple of weeks:

Valve stem seals
Skunk2 billet cam seal
Thermostat
Dizzy cap
Engine oil
Oil Filter
PCV valve

Should run even better after this, getting annoyed with oil spots on rear bumper!

Cheers bud glad you like it. Not a fan of spoiler tilts really and I like the wheels and they actually fit over the brakes .


Few pics after cleaning other day, used Autoglym Aqua wax which is good stuff, also have the yellow rocker cover on now & TRS tow strap.

Also bought some new rubber, Yokohama AD08's on all 4 corners

Only just put them on so not given them any proper stick yet, going to have a blast today. First impressions are good though

Ye got the stem seals, pcv, dizzy cap, rotor arm, cam seal, thermostat done at same time, runs better and not burning & smoking as much oil but still burning more than I'd like. Oil rings are probably worn. Winter rebuild it is!

never fully read this thread before , some spec spoon stroked serious car mate, love td wheels used to have a set of white monza r on my last 9,love to see a pic of engine bay

Hey there that car is crazy! dosent everyone dream of having a type r with this spec? congrats on her but must say i dont like the wheels either and not cause thier td 1.2s tho... just hate that many spokes on any small car tbh but the winglets tie it all in to suit
