!!!SOLD!!!

It's with great regret that I may have to sell my pride and joy as I currently have my flat for sale which has taken a bit of a turn for the worse in the middle of the sale, and as I'm renting elsewhere I need to free up some cash to help me out, really really gutted as I only bought this back off my mate once I sold my old charged ek9, and that was the only reason I sold the ek9! :(

Its a rare 2 door japanese only model STi Type R. 97 R Reg, with 64k miles on the clock. Its still in KLMS and hasn't been altered or messed with (my request when it was imported so it didn't mess the mileage up in any way) its showing 104k klms on the clock.

I've had the cambelt changed along with all other belts, full service including every fluid and filter, as well as having an uprated oil pump fitted (they can tend to fail at either high speeds or high rpm) all done at APi Engines (Subaru specialists)

Its been in the country for only 2 years and was imported by a well known japanese car importer called Jap Performance UK.

It was preety much standard when I bought it and since then its had some choice mods and enhancements done to it, including:-

PERFORMANCE:-

- Large Autobahn 88 front mounted intercooler
- KnN induction kit
- Bailey VTA dump valve
- Simtek stand alone ECU with high/low boost settings, launch control, and antilag. Mapped by one of the best scooby tuners, Bob Rawle.
- 3" turbo back stainless steel exhaust system (heat wrapped)
- Exedy uprated clutch
- Skimmed flywheel
- APi uprated oil pump
- Producing (according to Bob Rawle) 350 bhp on high boost @ 1.4 bar, and 320 bhp on low boost @ 1.1 bar.
- Boost switchable between low and high in car, also switchable antilag
- Turbo timer
- All important cambelt , aux belts, oil pump, every fluid and filter all changed at APi

EXTERIOR:-

- Jun style front lip
- Optional side skirt and rear bumper spats
- Genuine version 6 high level rear spoiler with led brake light (fitted in japan)
- Milsport STi8 bonnet scoop
- 6000k Hi and low beam HID headlight conversion
- 18" Inovite Tarmac alloys with Yokohama Parada spec 2 tyres
- Lowered suspension
- Its been professionally machine polished so its a nice bright glossy white rather than a milky dull white which a lot of them are.

Standard features include:-

- Forged engine components
- Short ratio gearbox (Gives savage acceleration, standard 0-60 time is 4.6 seconds! will be more like sub 4 secs now)
- Short shifter
- DCCD (Driver Control Center Diff) allows you to adjust the diff ratio from the rear wheels to all 4 wheels and anything inbetween by toggle switch in car
- Intercooler water spray (currently disconnected due to front mounted intercooler, although can easily be fabricated back in)
- Extremely rare factory option of digital climate control (I only know of 1 other type R on the owners club that has this, it usually has the nasty 3 twist knobs and basic aircon)
- Power folding mirrors
- Electric windows and mirrors
- Central locking
- Power Steering
- 4 pot calipers on front with 2 pot calipers rear
- STi bucket seats

It has a Toad Ai606 cat 1 alarm with optional extras of anti-hijack, tilt alert, proximity alert, and glass break sensors. The power folding mirrors also fold automatically when arming the alarm.

Its had recent new front discs and pads, and new tyres all round. The clutch has also just been replaced with a brand new unit.

The only 'bad bits' on the car are it has a few car park dings, (which were on it when it was imported, very tight parking spaces in japan) luckily with the car being white it hides the dings very well and they are hardly noticable. I've been meaning to get these pulled out for ages but haven't had the time to get it booked in. The passenger window is a bit slow, and the headunit (top one in the photos) has recently packed up, its currently out of the car as I sent it off for repair, but unfortunately the car audio shop are having problems finding out whats wrong with it.

Other than these small minor points, the car is perfect, its never let me down and starts every time, first time, even with the new ecu, no funny idle issues or anything, it drives just as perfectly as it did with the standard ecu.

All parts that have been removed from the car are still available, and will be sold with the car.

This is a very reluctant sale, therefore I only want genuinely interested people enquiring.

£7495

Thanks for looking.

such a shame your having to sell up again man - as i said when you first got the car, i love the 2 door type-r and if my plans this year for the Civic wern't so big i'd have bought one most likely.

Good luck with the sale mate - it looks like an excellent car, if times were different i would've taken it from you

Hope to see you soon

Steve

Hi Steve, how ya doing mate? Yeah I'm very gutted, it's just my sort of luck though, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I suppose!

So what are your big plans for the civic then?? You must proper love that car with all the money you've spent on it so far and you still have big plans for it!! Fair play, it is one of my favourite civic's by far so keep up the good work mate! ;)
