Hey been browsing the site a while now so thought id do a build thread to keep me busy and posting more :)

As it was when i signed up a while ago

My plans are to go for an exteriour re-spray in the standard colour (amethist pearl) and fit an SiR front lip and colour code the sideskirts. Other than a planned duckbill spoiler im probably going to leave the exteriour as clean and standard as possible.

Prelude calipers and mg discs... 282mm brakes up front and il be doing 262mm rears soon too. That should sort the brakes out a bit.

Also d.i.y.'ed my headlights:

ek9 styleee.

Thanks for looking.

that looks really smart mate, and I actually like the neon green wheels :) are they genuine te37s or rota grids? Look great whatever, I'm simply curious :)

There Grids mate, cheers for the positive feedback tho.

Im thinking of selling the wheels to do something like this:

dark wheels with a polished lip are fail mate (N) keep the green ones tbh

nice car mate. keep the green wheels they are far more mental and stand out. thats the same spoiler im going for next month. keep us posted

very nice mate. this is the only one i'v seen in this colour outher than my own :nice:

Nice car mate.

Keep the insane wheels they look mental.

Gt3's in that colour has been done to death.

Keep it different dont let you car become a sheep !

Real nice DIY job on the headlights. Give them a going over witha cutting compound to bring back the shine and they will look like new.

Bet the new brakes feel 10x better what pads you running ?

Cheers ben and everyone else for the wheels comments... i was gona do the gt3's in the same colour as the car but i mite stick to green now (il prob have them re-done in a darker more "solid" shade of green tho)

Brakes are miles better mate yes, Well worth the swap. Im using standard pads for now but id like to swap to some decent ones later on when i do braided lines. Iv read somewere you can fit 262mm rears to the vti using ek9 carriers is this true do you know as id love to do that too.

did the prelude calipers fit on without any adjustment? obviously u fitted the carriers too right?

Yes mate, you need 2.2 prelude calipers and carriers. You will need to shave no more than 3mm out of the inside of the carrier on one side where the disc runs closest to it in order for your new discs (MG zr 180 discs) to fit as they are a bit wider than the lude ones. :) Wicked upgrade for not alot more money than a new standard setup too!
