Need help installing air intake

OK so I just bought an AEM short ram intake, it arrived today and I went out to install it on the car. Pretty simple job.

Problem though, the guy who fitted the cheap ebay intake before stuck a sensor into the rubber elbow, I'm not sure what the sensor is, or where it is actually supposed to go.

See it in the blue rubber? He must have made a hole himself as the AEM rubber has no space for it.

Anyone help me on where I'm supposed to put this?
 
Its close to being the correct spot. Should work fine.

No that blue and ilver pipe is the old ebay intake thats already on the car.

I've bought an aem short ram and it has a breather pipe but no hole for the MAF
 
on most aftermarket intakes you have to bodge the sensor in somewhere, mine is glued into my password jdm intake!! i think its a air tempreture sensor, yours looks fine tho, a neat job:nice:
 
from what u said thats the old intake ya? well take that sensor out and ull havto drill a little hole and glue it in or something its ur air temp sensor and u need it :)
