hello everyone

I have an ej9 and its done 140000 mines the last owned ragged the balls out the engine and now shes burning tons of smoke, Dont have a compressor to do a cylinder leakage test, Im thinking of just getting a new engine and was wondering if anyone near glasgow has a d14 d15 or d16 for sale and for what price.

Hi mate n welcome get a b16 cheap enough n miles better engines :)
 
Welcome to the forum dude, there always engines popping up for sale in the 'for sale' section just keep an eye out :)

Iv thought about a b16 but dont think i could afford the insurance :(
 
welcome! if was gona get my engine swap anytime soon i'd give you my d14 lol but that wont be a while! good luck in finding one though
 
welcome to the site mate, hopefully you get a new engine soon enough! there are usually plenty goin about. check on ebay etc aswell. keep us posted mate :))

why dont you do the b series conversion an say nothing to the insurance...
you will end up doing it anyway if your for keeping the car!

Don't do this at all… You can find yourself a D14 or D16 for less then £300
Have a look on civic life as well. There more likely to have D-Series on there as it is a more general civic site :)
 
ahh ok thanks alot everyone, il keep you all posted.

my insurance is up soon so i need money for that first, think it might be the valve stem seals because im not loosinf compression, if anyone has any ideas on how to test the stem seals that would be great to know
