Hey! I'm a new face from the Isle of Man. It's tt and seeing all the fast cars and bikes has made me get the kick I need to get a decent motor. Had a scoob, blew up my evo when I had it. I figure I need something fun, fast and reliable. Not to mention sexy. Was wondering if anyone could help me gauge an average price for what I'm after. I've decided in the next few months I'm going to hunt for an ek9 facelift model but seeing as I will need to travel on the ferry to buy on I kinda want to know all I can. If anyone could help me with things such as an average price to mileage and condition and things to look out for I would be really grateful!

i joined this fórum cuz i really like JDM and i got a ej6...hatch and everything..my question is the following......i have a stock engine..d16..with a vtec head..but the head is not using its vtec kuz i need the 96 intake manifold..i dont have tho money to buy another engine right now...what could i do to my stock engine for it to run faster..faster!

Do all the checks you'd do with any car tbh mate
Ek9 specific I'd say rear arch rust, engine smoke and gearbox crunches are the main bits.
Not really any common issues that I'm aware of.
 
Thank you very much for your welcome everyone! Was kinda worried after I got ninjad that I wouldn't get a response lol. Thanks Jesse I will look out for those. Engine smoke on start up and vtec?
Can't wait to get one now. Find myself looking at pics and adverts of them every day
 
Check for notchy gear changes into 2, 3 mainly at high rpm mean syncros worn. Blue smoke in VTEC. Apart from that mormal stuff like front accident repair etc.
