I need to transfer my ncb to the m3 the problem I have is my other car is still floating around Europe somewhere..... What the hell do I do?

No where will do temp cover on an m3! And temp cover on 9 is 420 quid for 28 days!!!

Surely if your ek9 is in the hands of the recovery company then it's their responsibility and their insurance covers any damage done to your car and it no longer needs to be insured?

I am not worried about damage it's theft or total loss. Also bear in mind it's a foreign company and I also have to have it delivered to a garage not my home....

Hmm I see your concern,
Some insurance company's will "mirror" your ncb on a second vehicle,
Have you tried calling and explaining your issue to your insurance?

I bet if it was stolen while in the possession of ADAC your insurance would just walk away and say its not their problem.
Dunx

A few years back a mate of mine had to leave his car at the ring, he hired a van and trailor to pick it the weekend after, wot are ur plans to bring the nine back??

personally id suck it up and just wait for the ek9 to arrive, you said three weeks but shouldn't be that long. Purely on the fact that insurance companies suck the big one and I hate giving them money.

Yep If its with the garage/ recovery company then if something was to happen to the car I would assume the garage / recovery companies insurance would cover it.

When a company undertakes a service to a client they are made responsible for item(s)/person(s) directly in their possession.

I wouldn't drop insurance on the 9 since the ADAC could have a clause that if it does get stolen on UK territory, they may place responsibility on your insurer. Or they may cover up to a certain value.

Just stick it out pal, it's not ideal but at least you know the 9 is covered.

Cover it on one of those zero mile policies. Like when you are planning to keep it in a garage. Then temp cover it for a day when you drive it back home.

Admiral have allowed my ek to stay insured and give me my 10years. Also saved me 130 on insurance.

Just give them my ncb when I have it end of August.

Win. Admiral are pretty good at that, when i have bought new cars but still have another car, they just temp insure the other one for £20 a week or something (M3 in this case too).

No it's full cover but they said if I don't provide my ncb they will just adjust premium accordingly.

How insurance should work, a bit of common sense!

Exactly that!

They are a good company admiral group and seem to be a fair bit cheaper than anyone else for me aswell :nice:
