No Vtec on my B16b!!?? :(

Hey people!

been having a few problems with vtec not engaging! Not 100% sure what this is about.. Took it to Jimbob to have a look at it and hes changed the wire, took solinoid off gave it a clean and put it back on. Gave it a quick blast after all this. Vtec engaged fine, then left it for an hour parked up, jumped into car drove it till it got warmed up gave it a blast and no vtec again!!

Any heads up with stuff please let me know.

Where does the temp gauge sit when it's up to operating temperature? If the thermostat is getting stuck open causing the car to run too cold it won't vtec. The ECT sensor could also be the route of the problem, if it gives incorrect readings to the ecu i.e reading cold when actually warm it won't hit vtec either.
 
The temperature sits exactly in the middle of the temp gauge. But i drive it around for like 15-20mins before giving a blast. So this is why im confused why its not engaging :/
 
Hmm not 100% sure but i dont think so. Not sure whats the oil pressure like. Im at work atm so will get it checked at somepoint. But erm where abouts to look for the oil pressure sensor etc? Sorry dont know much on where bits and bats are but learning :) so gonna have to bare with me :)
