oil in plugs

Car won't start took plugs out there covered in oil what would be causing this
 
often it's the plug seals in the rocker cover that fail and oil fills the bottom of the plug hole. When removing the plug it gives the impression it has come from inside the cylinder.

That said rings and/or stem seals would allow an amount of oil into the cylinder above the piston.
 
As said plug seals are more than likely the cause. Although when I changed mine they were still leaking and it turned out I had a blocked pcv valve which caused too much pressure in the head and blew the oil past the seals. But if it was me I'd just change the plug seals. Mighten be a bad idea to do rocker cover aswell while it's off
