right, so drove down my road about 10 meters, and the oil light was on, so turned engine off, checked the oil, fine. so pushed car back, changed the oil pressure switch, and still the light was on.

so we took the sump of as a garage welded baffles and fitted a sump gasket the week before. noticed that alot of sealent had come loose and the baffles were loose as hell and there was some metal filings (mate said this was not bearings and was some grinded down metal from the sump from thje garage work).

We cleaned the sump out, put fresh oil in, had a look at the oil pick up and cleaned that, took rocker cover gasket off and poured oil in the oil galleries and it came out fine of the bottom, so im guessing there not blocked.

im guessing honda oil pumps dont Fozzie Bear up just like that, so some of the crap in the sump must have clogged up the oil pump, were going to take the oil pump off tommorow, any how to guides for that, also since the engine was on when no oil pressure, i want to check the bearings. a mate said take the shells of and check the bearings for scoring?

the engien is a b18c-r 96 spec
thanks

You should'nt have any sealant inside the sump. Those baffles should be welded on properly. I have a feeling that the sump wasnt cleaned properly and you've had some swarf/big debrit go threw the pump and damage it. Replace it and check all bearings.

there might be debris jammed in the oil pump pressure release valve. You need to take the timing belt off, then the pulley and timing belt cog. The sump needs to come off which means the exhaust manifold has to come off. After that it's just a case of removing the bolts from the pump and pull it off

got nothing done today, spent the whole day trying to remove the crank pully bolt, used a long bar, heat, electric impact gun, air impact wrench at 200ft/lb, the ****er wont budge!! any ideas
