well ill be ordering a new clutch in the next few days and was thinking of going for an oem type r clutch and keeping my oem ITR flywheel which im told is already pretty light (12lbs).

The engine is a standard b16b and gearbox is an s4c with a 4.7fd.

Im also considering going for a stage 2 clutch and an exceedy lightened flywheel but from what iv read it seems there is not much benefit to be had with in a road car with under 200bhp (open to correction).

Just want some opinions from people who have tried both because I dont fancy making the wrong choice, changing my mind a few months down the road and having to take the box out again. keep in mind this is mainly for road use.

thanks for reading,
Paul :nice:

Lighter flywheel is one of the best mods you can do , Honda dc2 clutch and the exedy flywheel is great , have them myself :nice:

not sure on the weight of the itr flywheel, But if your replacing the clutch i'd put in a lightweight flywheel at the same time. iirc the clutch from the itr is the same for the ctr and is more than capable of handling 200hp. :nice:

what weight flywheel would you reccomend? 4.5kg? is it not a pain for daily driving

The exedy is perfect , think its around 4.9kg iirc and cheap enough new.

You might have to give it a few more revs taking off but I dont think you would notice any negative difference when putting in the 4.7FD aswell

Looking for a flywheel in that weight group (5 kg). Any link to the Exedy 1? Thanks
