Hi there, I have an eg6 ( I/H/E) with p28 chipped, and i'm thinking to make it run on daily driving with the stock ecu maps of p28 and when it comes to driving hard to activate the p28 chipped (base maps of dohc) on the button.

My question was, is it wrong to run it on stock p28 on daily driving? Thanks asap and sorry for my english :blinx:

A P28 stock map is for running a d16 sohc vtec not b16a dohc vtec which is in your car so no do not run your car on the stock map.

I thought to make it run in the city on the d16 maps just for the fuel consumption but on the other hand I don't want to make some damages to the engine :D .. I think I will leave the ecu how it is now, chipped with b16 maps .. thanks for the info mate

The correct way to do this is to have it tuned properly. When at light load/partial throttle, add timing and pull away fuel. This will give it throttle response while conserving fuel. As soon as tip-in is seen, have it richen up.
