June 2014 I bought my first ever Honda Civic 1.4 Sport EJ9 Facelift (2000).:dance:

I drove 130 miles to pick it up from Leicster, it was a bargin for £700! Weird garage I went to though.. The guy I bought it from thought the radio graphics was a great selling point because there were swimming dolphins.. What dya think? Personally, I'm not a dolphin fan..


The engine bay is very clean, the interior is perfect condition (I plan to rip most of it out anyway and replace bits of it) and the shell it's too shabby;) (few car park dinks but that's too be expected on a 14 year old car right?!)
Rust free shell, in excellent condition originally bought as a base shell for a show car however now I've got thinking about it, it might be a track car.. :nerv:

It's probs going to be a slow build as I don't earn that great a wage but I have some stuff planned for it.. Cannot wait to start getting my hands dirty!:)

I still need to take that silly sticker out of the rear window!! :angry:

which should all be going on this weekend (Fingers crossed!)

Glad to see you posted this up :) will be keeping an eye on this build for sure.
 
Good base you got there :) may be a slow build but it'll be a great feeling as it progresses :nice: lol at the dolphin feature
 
Can't complain for £700.
Looks pretty clean from the pictures.

I've not yet had any problems with it and by what I can see (I've not yet pulled it apart properly, I will do when I come to paint it) it looks pretty good!! :naughty: Xxx

It was, I just had to drive for hours and hours to get it! :D

I don't know if I have already mentioned, but I'm gunna paint her white in the near future, add all the part previously mentioned.. Hopefully get a brake upgrade soon and at the moment i'm thinking just little bits like a roll cage, bucket seats, harnesses etc.. I'm not sure on what else to do to her at the moment.. still thinking of ideas haha! :) Xxx

Thats a nice project. If you want better braking just start by adding better brake pads, I had a car similar to yours (1.6 non vtec engine though) and I added hawk hp plus brake pads it generated a lot of dust, but the car braking response was greatly increased.

Since the car has a 1.4 engine, you don't need that much braking power, but if you swap the engine thats a different story.

Yeah i wanna do a engine swap, but thats not just yet still getting used to the car as it is haha!! the braking is alright at the moment just not overly responsive so i will give it a go with different brake pads and see if that makes a difference, thank you!

I'm sure there will be many shoutouts and questions on this thread when im stuck and confused haha! But thanks loads for your time and your help!! :D:D xxx
 
So last night I changed the grill to the mesh one, i'll upload a picture shortly! hopefully tonight i'll be putting the back box on, yaay! :) xxx

So since July, I have been a very very busy girl.. Quick update on the car.. It doesn't look the same any more.. Watch this space.
