Plastic rubbish on widows.

Hi guys, i'm in the process of putting together my project page, but that's not the problem, i'm finishing up jobs that are annoying me.

The windows on my 99 ek4 have some plastic film on the windows, i'm told it's factory fitted privacy film??? i've got no clue, what would be the best stuff to get it off with, i'm tempted to use nitromors furniture stripper, would it be too harsh on the glass? or does someone know a substance to get it off.
