hi guys wonder if anybody can help, most of the time when i start my car which is a b16 sir it starts fine straight away 1st turn of the engine but now and again i have to turn it over for what seems like quite a few turns before if fires. Anybody else had this ? its only when its cold never when its warm, it makes me wonder if there is a sensor on its way out. Any thoughts would be great
thanks

just want to bump this thread as i had the same problem today turned over alot before it fired but runs perfect and started fine for two weeks since the last time it did it, really hope sombody can help as i just know one day its not going to start and ive no idea what to look at as it runs so well 99% of the time

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs?

couple of months ago when i brought it, although i have been wondering if they are the cause as i did not have the problem before! but like i say it happens so rarely its hard to say if it had just never happend before i did them or if they are the cause now ive changed them

ngk splitfire plugs, all they had up my local halfords and i wanted to get the service all done in the morning

Might be the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve)
is this a fault if thats playing up ? where would i find it?
thanks for the help
