power steering rack

is the power steering rack in an ek9 the same as any other hondas as i have hit my wheel really hard and its knackered the rack. any help appreciated, thanks
 
No, EK9's have "faster" steering racks (the ratio is different, don't know the exact values)

Other RHD power steering racks from any civic from 96-00 will fit though. But your 9 will not steer the same then.


Are you sure it's the steering rack itself that is broken ?
 
yeah its def the steering rack, think it has lost some teeth, i've got the car on axle stands and turn the wheel and it judders etc then gets smooth again

cheers mate, not exactly sure what is bent to be honest def wishbone not sure about the steering knuckle bit :(
