[Q] civic ej9 1999 b18c swap

Hi my car is civic 1999 1.4 ej9 , also i have 1996-1998 b18c jdm type r engine thats obd2a engine my car i think is obd2b engine ( ecu code 37820-phx-g11 1151-100802) i want to install hondata p28 ecu . I have obd2a to obd1 ecu conversation but i want to know how to connect dashboard loom with my ecu ? Should i buy any conversation harness or what

Your ej9 is a facelift si your wiring will be obd2b. I am presuming you have not done the swap just yet? You will require a VTI or ek9 engine loom that is obd2b to wire the engine up , you will also require an obd2b to obd1 conversion harness to allow you to connect up the obd2b engine loom to the the p28 ecu

im going to buy wiring harness from US Civic Si Em1 99-00 obd2b
and should i change any plugs or any parts like dizzy ,injectors ,alternator,because they are all obd2a
i have msd dizzy so can i use this with obd2b harness

You need a B series obd2b engine loom, obd2b dizzy, alternator and injectors to match up to the loom then a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness so you can run a obd1 ecu that is socketable so you can run hondata.

It really is that simple, I don't know how people find it so difficult.
