a little advice please, looking for a quick release steering wheel for my Jordan. After doing a bit searching i have decided i require the below:

D1 short hub:

D1 SPEC 50mm STEERING WHEEL BOSS HONDA CIVIC EK4 EK9 VTI ACCORD K7/K9 Z1430 | eBay

D1 Quick release:

D1 SPEC STEERING WHEEL QUICK RELEASE BLACK CIVIC SKYLINE RX7 180SX 200SX 240SX | eBay

Then most after market steering wheels attach to this, right? Or is there anything i need to look out for?

Any help/confirmation would be appreciated just in case i am wasting my money :secret:

Have you seen the how to by Michael flare? Might be useful to you. Or fire him a pm.

D1 Spec fitted my MOMO wheel which is a pretty universal pattern, should be fine with those two mate :nice:

Cheers folks, Pretty happy with the setup above, now the wheel!!

Do any of use run deep dish? thinking the quick release can cause it to be pretty close to you meaning deep dish is out!

Be cool and get an NRG one! That's what I run.

It's basically the spine thing > momo boss (or slim boss preferably) > quick release up > steering wheel

Best to get slim boss because momo one is right in your face. If deep dish I would recommend the slim boss with quick release. Not exactly sure but its like a two in one maybe!? Might still need a boss though

Im going with the D1 short boss like above, sizes are:

Boss: 50mm
Quick Release: 62mm
Deepdish: 95mm

So its not excessive!! :nice:

Mmmmm yeah you're right. I just noticed you were after a short hub too. I was thinking standard momo boss for some reason!

But to answer your question. Yes this should go right into your EK as long as it is correct fitment. Make sure battery is dc'd before removing air bag. And make sure the wheel is perfectly lined up straight. My boss is bent because of this haha

I preferred the normal d1 with a dished wheel. Was nice and close and perfect for motorway driving to !

Will measure the OEM position see how it compares, think the dished might be ok, 200mm is not excessive :nice:
