Cracking weekend at Mallory with two race wins. The old girl did me proud.
Race one involved an awesome battle with Richard Voaden and Stuart Hutchinson for first three positions. After getting passed Stu and into second I kept on Richys bumper for pretty much the whole of the race (apart from a couple of forays onto the grass due to some coolant on the track!). I tried and tried to pass but he played a good game and I just could not pass anywhere. I finished in second but Richy had been awarded a 10 second penalty for crossing the start line before the lights went out, so I was promoted to race winner. Not the way I would have wanted a win, but as they say a win is a win and oh what a race.
Race 2 was a lot more straightforward with a good start from pole, holding Rich and Stu off for the first lap, managed to put a couple of car lengths between myself and the two behind me. With Rich finally passing Stu it was a case of keeping the pace up and not doing anything silly to allow Rich to jump on the few seconds that separated us. In the end I crossed the line in 1st with Rich second and Stu third. Also had fastest lap time for both races which was nice.
