Rambo's EK9

lovely 9 lad :Nice: what is the make of your clocks for the oil and all ???

cheers buddy

they are SPA guages

tidy little civic love the breather kit did u notice any great difference with it or is it just there to make the car run better?

Thanks man ;)

Yea a love the breather kit too. Defo no noticeable difference. More aesthetic than anything. After tons of research into breather kits, etc i went for this one. Its only vented off the valve cover so no drain back kit etc and i hav still hav th oem pcv in place. Th b16b is meant to suffer from alot of crankcase pressure and this kit is meant to help allieviate the pressure. Therefore running safer! :)

Cheers man i was thinking about thm or red stuff pads.

Definitely don't go for red stuff! Have them in my ATR just now and they are terrible! I will be upgrading to Mtec discs, Ferodo ds2500 pads and braided lines. I've had good dealings with the Yellowstuff pads however.

Good shout mate i will go with th ds2500 pads! ;) i just hav oem honda discs, they be ok you think?

You won't be disappointed. For my ATR they are £122 for the front pads, sure they are similar for the ek9. How old are the OEM discs? They work really well with the Mtec grooved & dimpled discs, and for £61.35 (including shipping) you may aswell get them!

Cool thts not bad a price bud cheers. My dics will be around a couple of years old now. Maybe dne about 15k miles. I will get my mechanic to check thm out and see what he thinks

Already got braided hoses but may hav to upgrade to dot5.1 brake fluid

Let me know when you're up at Knockhill buddy, I'll fire up if I'm free :)

Also don't bother with 5.1 fluid man, just go for some high temp dot 4. 5.1 goes off much quicker. I have the ATE superblue in my car and the pedal still feels good when the pads/disks have been cooked. Not that I've ever done that... ;)

Ah nice cheers for th advice. I just have comma dot 4 just now. U reckon i shld use th ATE superblue like you?

Yeah, I'd go for the ATE stuff man, never heard a bad thing about it :) £15 a litre from Euro Car Parts last time I checked!

As Rippu says, stay dot 4. Super blue is decent stuff, I personally use RBF600 @ £13 for 500ml, expensive but worthwhile!
