i`ve got 2 days to get one so need to know a.s.a.p guys.... do i need to get a new rad to fit my b16a into my ek3?? only ask as people keep saying that all the hoses are the same so i wont need one it will be fine.... but i have no faith!!! if so what rad do i need??? many many thank you`s

D series Rads are a smaller diameter on the inlet and outlet compared to the B series hoses! Any rad from a b series will fit fine!

The D-Series one will work but it will not be as good for cooling as B-Series rads are double cores D-Series are single.

I've seen a few swaps that still use the D-Rads and are fine but if it was mine i'd want the proper one for the job.

Most of those b series swaps that use a d series radiator with no problems is because they don't daily drive the car, live in a cool climate, and they race only in the 1/4 mile :p

In my country using a d series rad in traffic will raise the temperature in no time :nerv:

Ive just gone and dug out some old parts,

Side by side the B series and D series are identical width and depth!!

The only difference as I previously said is the inlet and outlet, 6mm diameter smaller for the d series rad.

so is it ok to use for the time being as i will get the correct one, but im just waiting to get a refund from a company that ****ed me about, they sent me the wrong size mani and tried telling me that the standard b16a mani is 2.5" so i measured mine just to be certain i wasn`t wrong and i wasn`t!!! it`s 2.25". so when i get my cash back i will get the right rad, but is it ok just to get the car running???

They arent identicle d-series is a single core radiator and b-series is a twin core

Unless there is a d-series twin core rad which ive never known about
