Hi guys just bought a Recaro Hans Pro Racer seat for my eg6 and have another on its way for the passenger.

I am a bit worried about how road legal it is in the uk. As I have to lean forward in order to see my blind spots. And by the time the passenger one is in I may not be able to see the left blind spot at all. Rear mirror view should be fine.

WRC cars use these seats and they have to be road legal. Vans and many new cars have very obstructed blind spot views if any.

Going to ask the guy that does my MOT's this week. But it would be good to hear any advice or experiences with these types of seats.

Car is not regularly used on the road although I do occasionally have to take it to work.

I think they are legal. My mate has a seat the same style as this in his eg civic and never got pulled and also had an mot with the seat in.
I'm also getting myself a pair of wrap around buckets for my dc2 and that will be on the road.

My rallycar has similar seats and goes through the mot fine. although I would not recommend using them with harnessed on the road as its extremely difficult to see when strapped in tight, makes merging in traffic and junctions horrendous

Cheers for the help guys, im still going to keep the oem seat belts as well as some harnesses. I will probs get bored of them. Is that Elliot @stevieG I was asking him the other night, hes already trying to buy them off me ;)
