[Request] Top end speed video


yeah but it seemed to run outa rev's pretty quick..

When i was hitting 147mph i was still sitting with like 1k RPM to go before redline and it seemed like my speedo moved a hell of alot quicked top end.. i.e. got to 140 and didnt slow down at all till the needle went off the dials.
 
good point, my own didnt run outta revs either, weird :s
 
did it myself, (Properly before i get jumped on) My mate Alan did the soldering work etc

You get a speedo converter which you install into the gearbox sensor then you have to get your dials converted properly to show the mph mileage etc stick on the MPH sticker and away you go

and thats it :)

You dont need to change the dial face as it will now read in MPH
 
Where is the gear box sensor ? not sure if mine is
converted it has been derestricted thou
 
well does it go up in kmh or mph? your speedo?

gearbox sensor is the plug on the gearbox
 
Think i would of noticed if it was going mph :angry2: the clocks stil clock up in klm's why lol Not sure on mine guy did say it had a odemetre conversion

So i didnt know if it was khm or mph

the gearbox sensor is the plug that goes into the gearbox, it has 3 wires, i cant show you a photo just now unfortunatly

I will however do a full how too when i have time and include photos
 
Thanks my clocks still clock up klm's but read the correct speed ? followed my mate speed is right still clocking up in klm totally baffled me i thought reading the correct speed so to speak-milage goes up in miles lol

Hey thanks ! live just out side newcastle noticed your from scotland lol where abouts could meet up :) Been trying to sort my mph/klm since i bought it :mad: What do you make of what i said still clocking up in klm's but reading correct speed strange?
 
im thinking its be derestricted meaning its milage really is still in km possibly, seems weird why they did that, get the chip and come to Stirling Scotland and we will sort it out for you :)

at 8900rpm in 5th gear i'm getting 147mph up on the GPS but that's with a 4.9 final drive, before the final drive went in I ran outta road at 155mph :nice:
 
do u nget a more relistic dial for the mph cuz i that goes up 2 190 is just a bit far like!
