Just read all this thread cracking build. What do you think the car will weigh when finished..estimate.

798.4kg :naughty: only messing... the aim is under the 800kg mark. in my class with the restrictions with oem fuel tank etc it is a bit of an ambitious aim... but we'll see....

i hope it gets that... the crx in general is about 120 kg lighter than an eg. model for model, the eg i ran last year weighed in at 930kg bit had alot more in so i might make the sub 800kg mark.

UPDATE
big thanks firsty to john stone from jstone racing. sorted me out of a part i didnt expect to need. anyone doing the conversion will need the rear mount form the engine to the engine mount. the itr one i had was way off. you need a da6 one. redicussly hard to find. (its more ofset to the lhd)

with the engine in we fitted the exhaust manifold, accelerator cable, gear linkages (these also have to be da6, ef8 or ef9 doch vtec models)

last season i broke the inner cv on my passo drive shaft.the 98 spec shafts are redicussly hard to come by, loads do 96 spec aftermarket ones but the 98 spec have larger outer cv splines. so i bit the bullet and bought the cv from honda new....... 245ish... :wallbash) . my local honda naas are sound and very quick so at leat that.....

also picked up a genuine spoon sport front strut. the reason i need this is to clear the brake resvoir. also cool peice of kit.

tommrow we are remaking the front upper arms and cross member!!

If you don't mind me asking :)
it's exciting to see it's coming together so nicely

wow... em... stuck for words really.

i know the price of the big stuff, which if you want any ideas ill tell you, for
example the arms and bushes alone were 1200 euro.

the problem with an idea of price is that roco is doing lab along with myself, not including that aspect i have bought so much little things between honda and the local autofactors that i couldnt really give a proper figure even if i added it up. its also not the big things that kill ya.
for eg the t peice on the brake lines were 20 euro + vat each... alot of small items really does add up.
if i was to roughly guess and i mean roughly guess without lab well over 10k.
how much though i could not tell ya cos im only guessing... but pm for indvid prices and im sure i could tell you off the top of my head..

hope this helps... and i really dont want to think to much about that part... just want to :nice: drive

O so plently then
you could have just said lots and lots lol
So would you be getting money from sponsors for that or is it just funded by some one with to much money for fun?
Sorry for all the questions
just always wondered how all this works and how and if people make money from it

i funded it myself. RoCo is a roll cage and fabrication company (run by my best friend) so he does all the work for free (sponsorship i guess) he also got me a few parts. with out him it would have not been so easy.

the cost was spred over a few years. that and i sold my road integra to fund it to. like i have the engine and box for two years now. it wasnt just bought in one go so i dont feel it as bad. the majority was taken form my last time attack car and just refurbed.

dont let prices put you off!!!!!!! time attack is worth it!!!

O right so there's no actual money involved or is there a competition with prize money?
Does look like alot of fun tbh
if I ever get the expertise and the money then I would probz do this
but as I'm only 19 and don't know much about cars it will have to wait :)
thanks for the info it been interesting :)
