i have 17 and looks PERFECT put is more hard ont he road.
i think 16 is the best size on eks, not too soft, not to hard and they look more sexy than 15

For handling;

15" and have found a 205 50 or 215 50 and to some extent 195 50 to be superior to the standard 195 55 tyre

For looks;

On an Ek 3dr 15" on a EK/EM coupe/5dr 16"

I cant agree with this, Ive never anyone pull off a 17" wheel on a 3dr EK. You can just about get away with it on an EK/EM1 coupe and it works well on an EM2 coupe

I don't a major price difference in tire prices when I look between 15 or 16's. Although tires are expensive here in Japan.
