got car dynoed on sunday got 170bhp, and another EK9 just shy of that.

both standard, apart from a cold air pipe on the other 9.

others result were 197bhp 96spec DC2!,

206bhp 96 spec DC2 with Mugen intake and catback.

CRX with b16b made 205bhp....with Full exhaust system, decat, and remap ECU.

the B16B has so much more than it does in standard?!!!

will scan graph once i get it.

I only have a ITG foam air filter and a aftermarket muffler (looks to be spoon but no label).

I don't know i forgot the name they told me, I will find out if you want.

seems like alot to lose. i know with age any car will lose a certain ammount of power. still seems like alot

majority of ek9 dont make qouted bhp, usually around 175 on average, wouldnt worry about dyno figures, whats carlike to drive and hows it against other cars ?

i thought the figures are quite realistic, driving on the road is fine.

the guy said good torque curve on the car, pulls strong in VTEC, so nothing to worry about.

on the road its good, not much in it with ITRs.

I will definitely scan the graph and post it.

Can u remap Standard b16b ecu? Friend of mine reckons u cant.
You can, but why to do it and then start thinking doing some other mods or replace parts with different specs etc....:blabla: .......because in order to get the promised results, you almost always have to retune it $$$......
That's why these days we have aftermarket ECUs like Apexera Power FC which comes with its commander for real time tuning without chips or anything....:D
For example, using the commander, you can set the rev limiter or vtec point wherever you want at any time you want by just plugging it on the ECU and change the settings whereas to change it with the standard ECU, you have to re-chip it!

due to the fact we can get 99 ron petrol hear in the uk i would be very upset if my car never got at least 180 bhp
mines been done twice standard it got 180 and 183bhp and then got 193 with a mugen airbox and spoon exhaust and decat
ive been told by a very big brain on hondas that a type r should make what mr honda says they will if dynoed correctly

I'll be expecting more HP from my b16a! hoping for 180 and all i have is bolt ons!

sorry about the delay guys, only got the graph not long ago and been very busy lately.

heres a picture of the graph my scanner won't work!!

and also I just realise theres no dip...or no massive dip before VTEC kicks in, which some of you were discussing in the other threads.

it is not very smooth, i don't know the reason, the guy mentioned that the dyno is very sensitive, but it could be at the high RPMs, its not fueling properly?

Whats the spec of your car at the moment mate? ,and if you already have'nt done so give it a decent full engine service ,good oil + filter ,good plugs, good foam drop in filter, fuel filter ,e.t.c ,you should be reaching at least 180 bhp (flywheel )in a good standard form

it is standard, I've done everything there.

it is in good condition through out, so you reckon it is low on power?

it is on high mileage tho, 70k+ miles.

I am not sure, I have not done it.

how long do they last anyway? the clutch seem fine

really depends on how you drive
mines on its third now and coming up to 80k
