dose any ek9 have a shift light on the speedo clock?
was it a option or standard fitted or DIY job?
cheers

yes mate. through ecu? how, run a wire to the speedo clock from ecu rev signal?

It's a option in tuning software not something you wire in with the standard ecu, you would need a chipped/socketed obd1 ecu. Hondata, Crome, Ectune all have this option "MIL shiftlight" basically you set the desired rpm and the engine check light will flash when you reach this rpm.

if i want to use another type of swift light ?
i will use a different gauge ?

right, thanks buddy. now i understand.
it does look very cool

I got a pivot shift light. Connects to cigarette lighter and that's it. Senses the rpm and comes with three lights

its very accurate. i got it from hong kong but they not cheap. i think pivot makes very good products. heres the link to it:

apex'i rsm's have a rev warning function, set your desired RPM and the display will flash. there is also a rev warning signal wire which afaik can be connected to a light (any light in theory) and that will flash too....
