Are b20 engine con rods shot peened from the factory? If not is it worth doin for a mild vtec build? And who does it and cost?

No they are not. For a mild build no I don't think it's needed. Perhaps add some ARP rod bolts I think that would be more beneficial and allow you to rev the engine abit higher

I will be installing arp rod bolts, blockguard and posted cylinder walls, fully balabced internals and flywheel clutch/crank pully. I think that the ycp 84.5 itr pistons are heavier than oe 84mm b20b pistons which is why im worried about the rods. The rev limit will be 200rpm after peak but not higher than oe itr limit.
My setup is:
-84.5mm ycp cast itr pistons 11.6:1 CR
-Stepped/paired longtube 4-2-1 decatted 2.5 manifold
-Fully balanced crank/internals and flywheel/clutch/crank pully
-2.5 custom SS exhaust system and rear silencer
-70mm TB
-Ported/polished head inc chambers all cc'd/balanced out
-Cut open and ported out itr intake manifold
-Aem cai
-290cc/m h22a7 injectors
-Edelbrock 4730 250/12.44mm, 232/11.5mm @ 0.050 cams degreed in with aem tru-time gears
-Super tech valve springs 70psi seat pressure
-Lightened and balanced rocker arms
-Dyno tuned on obd1 ecu

Im looking at around 230bhp at flywheel.
What do you think il get?
Now do the rods warrent shot peening?

I forgot to mention heat insulation gaskets on the intake manifold, TB and iacv and manifold will be heatwrapped to the middle silencer of exhaust

Well i thought that with higher piston weight and atleast 2000rpm higher than design rev limit the rods are the weakest link.
Tama666 why do you say not needed, Have u had a similar build or experience with them? C'mon educate me

You're spending too much money in the wrong places.
